American Indian Health Career Ladder<\/h3><\/div>
Fun, active and informative workshops!<\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]Western University, through the student organization\u00a0Pipelines to Healthcare<\/a>, conducts a series of Saturday morning sessions for middle school students to learn about careers in the health sciences.<\/p>\n

These are fun, active and informative workshops for parents and 6th-grade students. Pipeline to Health Careers<\/h3><\/div>
Each session is designed to meet specific state educational guidelines<\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]The Academy is designed to be modular, in order to provide age and interest appropriate activities. They include a plenary session with required attendance by both students and parents, followed by topic or discipline specific lectures, break-out activities, and other hands-on experience for the students. They are staffed by WesternU faculty and students, and each session is designed to meet specific state educational guidelines.<\/p>\n

Simultaneous translation into Spanish is provided for family members requiring this service, and all recruitment materials are distributed through the school district bilingually.<\/p>\n

Please note that all students must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other responsible adult. A signed Registration\/Permission slip is required to attend.<\/p>\n
